To-do lists can sometimes become overwhelming, unorganized sticky notes (ahem guilty) stuck to almost every surface of your desk and planner. At the end of last year I set a goal to reorganize how I organize…I can’t help my love for organizing and organization tools! I felt I didn’t have enough “thinking” and “reimagining” time to tackle bigger issues. So I devised a strategy: I dedicated a short theme to each day of the week to help determine which types of tasks I would accomplish on those days and set up a picture frame to use as a dry erase calendar with tasks for each day that week and a reminder of my ultimate “bigger picture” goals for the year at the bottom. On my Wonder Wednesday this week I stumbled across a video describing Action Programs. It’s a quick effective way to organize a to-do list in a logic model type style (shutter!) chart. In the 4-H world it’s a wonderful way to organize events, research programs, or just set up your to-dos. The video can be found at https://youtu.be/Vh1gBUW4Dbg .
