It will probably not come as any surprise that programs that give a variety of methods for families to either pay for camp (i.e. monthly payment plans, fundraisers through which 4-H’ers raise their own funds) or offer financial assistance, find themselves with larger camping delegations.
One idea that has been popular in many of our counties is the idea of “Camp for Christmas.” For the parent that doesn’t want yet another toy coming into the already overcrowded playroom, it’s much easier to request that well-meaning grandparents purchase a child an experience rather than an object. What better experience then camp?
