In “The Magic of Speech Evaluation” author Andrii  Sedniev makes the case that if you were to evaluate speeches on a 0-100 point scale, an ideal scale might be:

25 points-  Sincerity
25 points- Passion and energy
25 points- Stories that connect with the audience
25 points- Technical speaking expertise

This explains why someone who doesn’t have the most polished speaking skills can still resonate so successfully with an audience.  A great example is this amazing young person- Richard Turere.
